Hi guys. Here is what your stomachs have been waiting for – delicious paleo treats!!!
Both of the recipes I got from http://www.livinpaleocuisine.com and I have just modified them slightly. Just check the treats section and you will find heaps of great ideas.
For the date slice this is what I did:
Preheat oven to 175c (fan forced) and grease slice pan.
Roughly chop a cup of pitted dates – not fresh ones.
Roughly chop a cup of dark chocolate – I use melts.
Mix together with a cup of desiccated coconut, two lightly whisked eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
Mix it all well until combined.
Press into the slice tin – make sure it is at least a cm thick otherwise it will fall apart.
Bake in the oven for 20-25mins or until top is well browned.
ENJOY!!!
I made the banana muffins almost exactly to the recipe. Just substituted coconut oil/butter for the macadamia oil and used three bananas. Make sure the bananas are very over ripe, almost unusable, and that will make them super moist.
