Wednesday, 05/08/15

Due to the response we had on Saturday the timetable will be adjusted as follows:
6am CrossFit
7am Weightlifting and Barbell Free
8am CrossFit
– The Weightlifting class is open to the Development Squad and available to all members as per the current arrangement of $5 per class, and to any member taking up the CrossFit Plus membership package.
– The Barbell Free class (that will run separate to Weightlifting) at 7am is a new addition to the timetable and is available to all members. Essentially it will be a met-con based session without any of the technical lifts or heavy weights and will also include only basic gymnastics movements. Some days it will be the same workout offered to the 6 and 8am classes and on other days it will be a different option.
– As with all of the new concepts introduced into the timetable the continuation of this arrangement will be dependent on class numbers and the value of that class, as perceived by the trainers, compared to other possibilities.

Crossfit Plus? Is this the competition training thing mentioned?

No, for an extra $25 per month it’s an option to upgrade so that all sessions, except for Reformer Pilates, are included in your membership. Really it’s a way to streamline payments under one regular monthly fee instead having to purchase the separate ten packs, or pay as you go etc to access the extra class options.
Under CrossFit Plus you get all of the regular CrossFit classes (which includes the new Barbell Free on Saturdays and Gymnastics on Fridays), Weightlifting and CrossFit Core and Flexibility (replacing Mat Pilates).
