Check out yesterday’s comments to see some great paleo recipe suggestions.  Bear in mind however, honey is not allowed during the challenge and be careful to check the ingredients on your sauces, spices and extracts to ensure that they don’t contain any wheat, corn, rice etc or added sugar.

Hi everyone (I’m sure I posted this this morning but I must not have hit submit..) does anyone have any ideas about what veggies to eat for breakfast? I think I am ODing on carrots and need some inspiration. Any thoughts? Thanks

My favourite vegies for breakfast Steph are; asparagus, baby spinach, tomato, mushrooms, zucchini. This done with some red onion in a medley is very nice with eggs on the side (cooked how you prefer, for me, poached) with avocado. Or done in an omlette. Yum, Yum!!!

I’m making omlettes with coconut milk, onion, red pepers, baby spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, ham off the bone, herbs (mostly dried) and salt and peper. I make it fresh if I’m eating breakfast at home but mix it all together and cook it in muffin pans in the oven if you need something on the go. I have some in the freezer and I reheat them in the microwave when I have breakfast at work.

    Hi Steph,
I was going to make some bubble and squeak for breaky. Instead of using regular potatoes in the meal in the link below, I am going to use sweet potatoes.

For any other stone cold Stone Age vegos out there struggling to get the calories with the Zone / Paleo thing going on – try this post-workout
    1 avocado
    1 banana
    1 scoop whey protein
    1 tablespoon coconut oil
    Water
    Blend and enjoy!
Jim confirms that it’s bonafide with the Zone diet to boost the proportion of fat when you’re operating at the elite level of a Crossfitter 😉
